CORE Program Providers Page

A Continuing Education CORE Program Provider is an individual, company, organization, group or association that offers learning activities or programs to Ontario Association of Architects members.

Architects are highly trained professionals bound by regulations made under the Architects Act. Following licensure in Ontario all architects must participate in the OAA Continuing Education Program. Continuing education is a mandatory requirement for all Architects as well as Licensed Technologists OAA in the province of Ontario.

Recognition of a learning activity as CORE learning offers the following benefits to its provider:
  • Authorization to publicize the learning activity as “CORE learning under the OAA Continuing Education Program”;
  • Permission to use the OAA ConEd logo to promote affiliation;
  • Listing of the learning activity on the OAA Web site CORE Opportunities page;
  • Listing in the OAA newsletter (e-Bulletin) that includes a link to the program provider Web site;
  • Increased opportunities for cross-promotion and marketing such as listing in the Calendar of CORE Continuing Education Activities on the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Web site.
The Application Process

Step One: Review the CORE Providers Guide
Step Two: Complete Form A and Form B. Compile a package with information outlined on the CORE Providers Guide
Step Three: Submit your application to the OAA.
Step Four: OAA reviews the application and notifies applicant of the decision. Approved learning activities are posted on the CORE Opportunities page of the OAA’s Web site.

Application processing time is approximately 4 weeks from the date of receipt of all required documentation.

Programs offered by product manufacturers and/or suppliers may not receive a CORE status under the OAA Continuing Education Program. These programs could be accepted under the Self-Directed learning category.
