I am so happy at making this achievement that could not have been completed without my family, friends, colleagues and the blessings of God supporting me every step of the way.

I am most grateful to my father: for his wisdom & continued support, my mother & grandmother: for their moral support. My brother, sister, wife & son for their patience and understanding.

Special thanks to the OAA staff and to my mentor, John Rossini, who walked the extra mile to assist me during my mentorship process. Also, to Architects Ned Allam and Ligia Saatgian for sharing their resources.

Driven with one goal in mind, I received additional life lessons and experiences along the way while having opportunities to work in fun and positive work environments. Guy Butler Architect LLC, USA provided me with a foundation, opportunity and the support and encouragement to see that my goal was possible.

My heartfelt appreciation and many a “THANK YOU” must be shared with all those who have helped me along the way. A lot of hard work, time and dedication went into this and without the love and support of my family this would not have been possible!

Anthony Provenzano B.Arch. OAA MRAIC
University of Toronto, 1995
Employer: architectsAlliance (Senior Architect) & Anthony Provenzano Architect (Principal/Sole Proprietor).

I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the tremendous impact that Tom Payne & Bruce Kuwabara had on my development as an architect; I spent the first 7 years of my career with KPMB and that time (through school and immediately after graduation) molded me. Their lessons - on life, as well as architecture guide me to this day and for that I’m eternally grateful. Also, Siamak Hariri, for his early and unwavering belief in me, stands out as a monumental driving force in the early years.

The last 7 years of my career have been at architectsAlliance, and at no point have I ever not looked forward to going to work in the morning. It is an ambitious work place driven by ideas, design excellence and the will to positively shape the city. My peers and colleagues make professional life satisfying, challenging and a great deal of fun – I so very much appreciate all the people at aA, many of whom I consider close friends.

And before these “few words” begin to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech, I have to say that nothing would be possible were it not for the love and support of my wife & family.
