KPMB is seeking a Digital Practice Coordinator (BIM Coordinator) with a passion for architecture, technology, and design.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The primary role is executing and managing Revit modelling standards, families and techniques for project teams and firm-wide. The role of BIM Coordinator will act as part of the Digital Practice team and assist in ensuring office and project BIM standards are maintained in setting up Revit projects, creating Revit families, as well as any troubleshooting of issues or guiding best practices.
The successful candidate will leverage the latest digital practices to assist project teams with design technology to create and develop 3D models accurately while maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of all day-to-day BIM activities and other modelling practices. They will engage with project teams routinely to understand their BIM requirements and actively maintain communication with the office, group training sessions, and new tool presentations. They would participate in new tool/technology testing and deployment.
Responsibilities include assisting Project Managers and Model Leads with Revit project setup, providing comprehensive and active Revit support, being available for emergency support, maintaining Revit standards and procedures by reviewing architectural drawings ensuring they are properly and consistently followed by end users, assisting with onboarding new staff as it relates to BIM, assisting in creating and maintaining office Revit templates, graphic standards, performing multidisciplinary coordination utilizing BIM techniques and clash detection tools, generating project specific custom Revit families and content, as needed; and demonstrate knowledge of BIM and CAD standards and best practices.
Ideal Candidate:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Architectural Design/Science/Technology, or similar, coupled with relevant experience is preferred

1-3 years of experience in architecture-related, construction documentation, or BIM roles and/or responsibilities

An advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit software required

A general working understanding of AutoCAD is necessary, with Navisworks, 3DS Max an asset

Knowledge of Rhino, and Sketchup is an asset

Knowledge in computational and parametric design (Grasshopper, Dynamo) is an asset;

Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills

Willingness to learn, and ability to pick up software and tasks quickly
Reporting Structure:
They will report to the Digital Practice Lead.
Compensation for this position starts at $55,000 annually and will be adjusted upwards based on the experience and skills of the applicant.
