On Thursday October 13, we hosted the OAA now lecture for a second year to a sold-out crowd consisting OAA members, students, and architectural enthusiasts. Our headquarters was transformed into a celebratory hub to encourage dialogue and discussion on architecture, and the unique structure of contemporary architectural practices. As OAA now lecture series was designed with the mandate to celebrate and offer a platform for OAA’s Best Emerging Practice Award Winner to discuss their story, contribution and experience as a young practice.
Adam Tracey, Manager of Policy and Government Relations for the OAA, attended the Queen’s Park Stakeholder Budget Lock-up, an opportunity given by the Provincial Government to specific stakeholders to review the budget prior to its public release, this afternoon. Adam files this summary report on specific items in the released budget affecting architecture in the province.
