A Poster has been created as a small part of the Ottawa Architects 150 project. Given space constraints, the poster reflects just a fraction of the accumulated data on Ottawa firms, their principals and projects.
It is free (while quantities last) to any current ORSA Member. It is also available for purchase by all others for $30. (If you’ve not yet renewed your ORSA Membership, now would be a very good time to do so.)
Please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org
if you would like one. The poster can be picked up at Watson MacEwen Teramura Architect’s office at Suite 400, 116 Lisgar Street, Ottawa.
The poster will also be available at the OAA/RAIC Festival of Architecture on May 24 to 26.
Only 300 Posters are available so act soon.
Ottawa Architects 150 is a project to document the history of the practice of architecture in Ottawa from 1867 to 2017. It is a way to mark Canada’s Sesquicentennial and recognize the contribution of local architects to the development of Canada’s capital city. The core of the project is the documentation of the “lineage” or “family tree” of firms. To date 563 architectural practices have been identified along with 647 principals/partners and 1491 buildings designed by those firms. A collection of 1850 digital photographs has been assembled. The information will be provided to various libraries and archives as an aid to researchers.
