Tuesday December 13, 2016 at the Ottawa General hospital, at the age of 66 years, following a long battle with Leukemia.He leaves behind his children Laura Boyle and David Boyle; his Daughter in law, Chantal Boyle and son in law, Dominic Grosleau; his three grandchildren, Soleil Rubaiyat, Athena Grosleau and one more on the way; two brothers, Ronald Boyle (and Spouse), Richard Boyle (and Spouse); his two sisters; Tina Boyle (and spouse), Louise Boyle; his first wife and mother of his children, Claire Le May; along with 12 nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded by his brother the late Robert Boyle. Born and raised in Vanier, the son of René and Julia (McManus) Boyle, he mostly lived in Ottawa. He also lived in Calgary and for many years in Toronto. In his early years, he completed his Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Carleton University. Along the way he also studied agriculture at University of Guelph. During his architecture career he was one of the principals at Stantec Architect. He had his own architecture practice at 2 different times. For many years he worked on the Glengerry Hospital and donated a substantial amount of money to support the hospital. Ross Boyle had a passion for learning. He spent his life taking classes on many subjects such as; oenology, trees, the environment, religion, philosophy, birds and astronomy, just to name a few. He was an avid reader; he loved music, history and culture. Ross will be remembered as a leader, a teacher and a role model. He was a great father, a great grandfather and a great friend. He will be missed.
