Speaker Opportunity: Banff, May 11-12, 2018

Every two years, the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) holds a conference in Banff, Alberta - nestled in the picturesque Rocky Mountains. The conference, appropriately titled Banff Session, has a long and illustrious history. Having a well established reputation
with consistent and enthusiastic support from participants and attendees, Banff Session 2018 will also host the 2018 Prairie Design Awards Ceremony.
Banff Session provides an opportunity for those involved in the practices of architecture and interior design to discuss their work, ideas, beliefs and attitudes in an arena of open dialogue in a unique context unencumbered by the everyday pressures and activities of the workplace.
The conference has historically been attended by a full house of approximately 450 architects, interior designers, academics and students from all parts of Canada and the United States.

Be Part of Banff Session 2018
Contribute to the professions of architecture and interior design by submitting a presentation that will incite
thought and spark discussion.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Banff Session Committee and the Professional Development Advisory
Committee and evaluated on the following criteria:
▪▪ Clarity of subject matter and relevance to the practices of architecture and interior design;
▪▪ Topic areas that contribute new information and insights along with clear learning objectives;
▪▪ Relevance to the structured learning topics (see page 4)
▪▪ Relevance to at least one sub-theme within the creatives (see page 3);
▪▪ The qualifications and level of experience of the speaker; and
▪▪ Compensation or honorarium requested.
