We must ensure our cities are fostering resilience, growing equitably, harnessing technology and enabling us to work together to build better and smarter cities for all. The Future Cities Canada Summit brings together city leaders and urban innovators working to sustain and build our cities for people to live and thrive now and into the future. Let's realize our potential, together. TD Future Cities Speaker Series: Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen, New York City
As New York's Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development, Alicia Glen leads the efforts to grow and diversify New York City's economy, invest in emerging industries across the 5 boroughs, build a new generation of affordable housing, and help New Yorkers secure good-paying jobs that can support a family.

The Honourable Ratna Omidvar, Senator for Ontario, The Senate of Canada
Ratna Omidvar was appointed to the Senate of Canada in 2016 as an Independent Senator for Ontario. She holds leadership positions in the Senate, as the Scroll Manager for the Independent Senators Group and as the Deputy Chair of the Special Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector. She is the founding Executive Director of the Global Diversity Exchange and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Ryerson University. Senator Omidvar is a Member of the Order of Canada and appointee to the Order of Ontario.

Shari Austin
Shari Austin is the CEO of Century Initiative, a non-partisan organization focused on Canada’s long-term prosperity. She has 30 years of experience in public policy, law, environmental affairs and philanthropy. Shari had a 20-year career with RBC, with the last 8 years as RBC’s first Vice President of Corporate Citizenship.

Ger Baron
Ger Baron is the Chief Technology Officer of the City of Amsterdam. Currently, Mr Baron is responsible for innovation, R&D and innovation partnerships within the City of Amsterdam. In addition, he serves as president of the City Protocol Society.
