The Design for Sustainability Workshop course at York University is organizing a community design charrette with the participation of Toronto Councillor Peter Milczyn and stakeholders in the Mabelle Tower neighbourhood in South Etobicoke. The objective of the charrette is to develop preliminary ideas for small scale, implementable design strategies that will help to build community relationships in the area, improve walkability, and upgrade interior and exterior public space. We would like to recruit several senior designers with relevant experience from each of the design disciplines to join Councillor Milczyn, Tower residents, other members of the community, City staff and York University students at the charrette.
