In this issue, we asked several architectural firms to comment on what they saw as the advantages to not focusing on international work, but concentrating instead on developing business closer to home. In many ways, these stories contradict the accepted wisdom that "the saving grace for the architecture industry" is working abroad. The future of the profession may just as easily lie in staying home.
