Provider: Ontario Association of Architects
This technical presentation will review the new OBC provisions which permit 5 and 6 storey wood construction. The background to these new Code provisions will be presented to understand the objectives of this significant Code change. Key Code provisions will be reviewed and analysed to understand the options, limitations, and conditions associated with these new provisions. Key design details will reviewed to understand the complexity of the design and to understand the design solutions that can address these requirements.
