In May 2005, OAA Council approved the new OAA Document 600 contract between architect and client, to replace Document Six, 2002. In November 2007, OAA Council made a number of modifications to the 2005 version. In September 2008, additional changes were made.  OAA Document 600, 2008 is posted below:

The salient features of this contract include:

• More user friendly than Document Six, 2002
• Physically and visually more compact
• Architect’s liability for consultant’s services mitigated
• Better defined services
• Scope of services rationalized and coordinated with fees
• Various methods of fee calculation set out in commentary with ease of transfer into the agreement
