    Intern Architect

    We are an entrepreneurial architectural firm located in the heart of the Waterloo Innovation Park. We are a team that works together and socializes together. Our bright ‎studio-style layout supports shared ‎experiences, and exchange of ideas in a relaxed, collegial environment. You will be working with our team to deliver high quality designs, and ‎exemplary client service. You will be encouraged to pursue personal and professional development over a wide range of ‎experiences. Our work encompasses a range of projects with an emphasis on multi-unit residential, institutional, ‎educational and recreational buildings. ‎

    Responsibilities include participating in project management and design at various stages, preparation of design and presentation drawings and renderings, preparation and coordination of engineering disciplines and working drawings and specification, preparation of drawings and documents for various applications and permits for approvals, ‎tendering and construction.

    Qualifications include

    At a minimum, the following are required:

    • Professional level degree in Architecture from a CACB accredited university
    • Registration with the OAA
    • Practical experience after graduation of 3-5 years minimum

    You are the perfect candidate if you possess the following skills:

    • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is a must
    • Familiarity of other 3D CAD software, Adobe CS Suite, V-Ray, Enscape and Sketch up
    • Well-developed ability to understand technical matters with attention ‎to details 
    • Ability to prioritize and organize your own work and that of others involved in the project
    • Commitment to achieve project ‎targets‎
    • Proven leadership, problem solving and people skills
    • Well-developed ability to coordinate consultants’ work and drawings‎
    • Thorough understanding of the Ontario Building Code and various building bylaws and regulations‎
    • ‎Excellent organizational skills and understanding of drafting standards‎
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills ‎
    • Commitment to meeting strict deadlines
    • Hardworking and self-motivated
    • Passion for quality, excellence, and self-improvement
