Methods of Payment

The OAA accepts payment (in CAD funds only) by:

• Cheque;
• Money order; or
• Bank draft
• Online banking, see below for instructions
• Wire Transfer, see below for more information
• ONLY for Canadian Accounts - Pre-authorized debit agreement for Individual payments
• ONLY for Canadian Accounts - Pre-authorized debit agreement for Certificates of Practice payments

Online Banking Instructions;

Online banking is available through the six major Canadian banks (CIBC, RBC, Scotia, TD, BMO, and National). Note: You must use your unique account/ID number (which can be found in the top right hand corner of your Renewal Notice) to ensure the OAA receives the correct information from the bank to process your payment and avoid cancellation.

Process:

1. Log in to your Financial Institution online account.
2. Set up the Ontario Association of Architects as a “Payee” (Ontario Association Architect if you are with CIBC)
3. For your “Account number” use the unique account/ID number found in the top right hand corner of your Renewal Notice. Please note your Member Account/ID number is different than your Certificate of Practice Account/ID Number.
4. Submit your payment(s)

The bank will submit your payment(s) to the OAA within 72 hours.

Wire Transfer:

Please note that an additional $25.00 should be included for Wire Transfer transactions in order to cover Bank Service Charges.
