
Created to respond to the Government's request/direction across all Ministries to review all pieces of legislation in the content of the Premier's Open for Business Initiatives. The Task Group is to identify potential amendments and provide direction terms of the breadth of changes to be pursued.
Responsibilities are to see that accounting policies and internal controls are established and followed. In addition, this committee ensures that OAA issues financial statements are balanced and present a reasonable assessment of the association's financial position.
The mandate of the ExAC Committee is to ensure the proper administration of the ExAC throughout Canada as well as the updating of the examination. The ExAC Committee has all authority regarding the content and the administration of the ExAC subject to the Agreement Protocol and to the approved Terms of Reference.
The representative will provide input and insight from the perspective of the OAA to the CNEA and report back to OAA Council as required with respect to the views and issues brought forth by the CNEA Board of Directors on any issues requiring direct input or a formal position from the OAA.

Considers and investigates complaints made by members of the public or members of the Association regarding the conduct or actions of any member of the Association or holder of a Certificate of Practice or a Temporary Licence.
In accordance with the Architects Act, the Complaints Review Councillor has the authority to review the handling of a complaint by the Complaints Committee however does have the authority to review the merits or substance of a case. Upon receipt of the decision of the Complaints Committee an individual may apply to the CRC for a review of the treatment of the complaint.
Provides direction on the annual conference and plans for future conferences.
Created to facilitate the identification and promotion of best practices in the area of Contract Administration.
Provides guidance and direction to the ConEd Program, establishes learning objectives for Continuing Education Cycles and recommends policies and strategies to Council.
The OAA is governed by a Council of 15 architects elected by the membership, and five members of the public appointed by the Province of Ontario. Council sets policy direction for the Association.
Hears allegations of professional misconduct against a member of the Association, holder of a Certificate of Practice or a holder of a Temporary Licence. Referral can be made from the Complaints Committee or Council.
Gives direction with respect to the funds held under the direction of the OAA Trust Fund and reviews the procedures for the dispersement of funds for the OAA scholarships /awards.

The mandate of the International Relations Committee is to represent the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities in ongoing, as well as future, discussions and initiatives related to international relations, specifically mutual recognition of certification as well as trade and labour mobility arrangements and agreements with jurisdictions outside of Canada.
The Committee was established to discuss common issues and concerns at a strategic level.
Societies are the grass-roots of the OAA. Located in 14 communities across Ontario, societies provide a venue for dialogue between local architects, a support network for professional advice, social interaction among the architectural community and opportunities for leadership, continuing education and community outreach.
The role of the national CACB Standing Committee is to act as a liaison between the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities and the Canadian Architectural Certification Board. The Standing Committee will also ensure that an ongoing relationship between CALA and CCUSA, as the two founding members of the CACB, is maintained and facilitated. The CACB Standing Committee will provide ongoing oversight on behalf of CALA with respect to adherence of the CACB to their bylaws and terms of reference.
Evaluates and recommends short term requirements and long term prospects for the OAA Building Headquarters.

Members of Council whose mandate is to confirm that the scholarships and awards held in a trust fund have been dispersed appropriately for the previous year. The trustees also approve procedures for awarding of architectural guild medals for the year.
The OAAAS Board serves as a forum for establishing the education, experience and examination requirements as well as scope of practice for Licensed Technologists.
The representative will provide input on behalf of the architectural profession with respect to matters being considered by the OACETT Board.
Produces a high quality quarterly journal of significant interest to the public, the profession, client groups, and the media. Educates, promotes, inspires and provides a forum for dialogue on architecture.
Reviews practice related issues, both regulatory and business related that impact on day-to-day architectural practice.

This Committee of Council addresses potential complaints where the complainant cannot or will not file a written complaint and determine whether or not there are sufficient grounds for a formal complaint. The Complaint will be dealt with through the OAA Complaints Process.
When the Registrar proposes to refuse an application for licence, certificate of practice or temporary licence; proposes to suspend or revoke a certificate of practice or temporary licence; or, proposes to issue a licence, certificate of practice or temporary licence with terms, conditions and limitations, the applicant may request a hearing before the Registration Committee. The Committee hears the matter and makes a determination as to the proposal by the Registrar.
Representatives from OAA, CEO, and OGCA meet regularly with ORC to promote a strategic working relationship at highest levels. Deals with strategic direction and oversees working groups performing detailed work on specific files.

Established by Council to serve in an advisory role regarding matters of sustainable design and environmental issues as they relate to the design and building industry. The Committee defines, analyzes, reviews and assesses areas which the OAA can focus on in order to demonstrate leadership from the architectural profession on this emerging and important area of practice.
Established to address issues faced by Intern architects in pursuit of licensure as well as concerns with the Intern Architect program itself.
