An Architect licensed in Ontario and who is a holder of a Certificate of Practice in Ontario is permitted to offer and/or provide a service that is part of the practice of architecture to a member of the public.
An alternative to the process of licensure as an Architect and issuance of a Certificate of Practice for an Architect licensed/registered in a jurisdiction outside of Ontario.
A Licensed Technologist OAA is an individual who is granted a licence by the OAA to practise architecture with very specific Terms, Conditions and Limitations (TCL). One of the conditions of licensure is that the individual must NOT refer to himself or herself as ‘architect’. These individuals must use the title Licensed Technologist OAA.
All designs prepared by an Architect licensed in Ontario must be sealed by an architect with the professional seal issued to that architect by the OAA.All designs prepared by a Licensed Technologist OAA must be sealed by the Licensed Technologist OAA with the professional seal issued to that Licensed Technologist OAA by the OAA.
