Intern Architect + Architectural Storytelling + Digital Support (Full-time)

We are a leading Ottawa-based architecture firm dedicated to creating thoughtful, innovative, and sustainable design solutions. Our projects span residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors, and we believe that effectively communicating our work is key to shaping our industry presence.

We are seeking a recent graduate in architecture who is looking to gain well-rounded experience by working on both architectural design support and communications. This role is structured so that 50% of the time is dedicated to assisting with design work, modeling, and presentation preparation, while the other 50% is focused on supporting the firm's digital presence and marketing efforts. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both architectural storytelling and technical design work and wants to bridge the gap between architecture and marketing.

Role Overview 

50% Architectural Design + Presentation Support

  • Assist in architectural modeling and visualization in support of design development

  • Work on presentation materials, diagrams and spec sheets for internal and client-facing use. 

  • Help prepare graphics and drawings for project proposals and submissions.

  • Collaborate with team members to organize and document key design decisions. 

   

50% Digital + Communications Support 

  • Maintain and update the firm's website with new project images, descriptions, and team bios, coordinating with staff and the web development team for updates.

  • Support content publishing and scheduling for the firm’s social media channels in collaboration with the consultant and internal marketing team.

  • Conduct social listening to stay informed on industry trends, project mentions, and opportunities for engagement.

  • Monitor and engage with audiences across platforms, responding to comments, messages, and relevant industry discussions.

  • Assist in building the firm’s presence on LinkedIn and Instagram, including content development and engagement in coordination with the consultant and marketing team.

  • Support individual team members in developing their professional brand profiles to foster internal advocacy.

 

Other possible responsibilities may include:

  • Paid advertising planning and coordination for digital campaigns.

  • Newsletter development to share firm updates, thought leadership, and project highlights.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Intern Architect or Recent Graduate This role is best suited for someone looking to transition into professional practice. Master’s degree preferred; however, Bachelor’s graduates with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Strong visual and written communication skills to translate complex design concepts into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Experience or familiarity with architectural modeling, rendering, drawing, and presentation preparation.

  • Must be well versed in Sketch Up, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Revit is an asset, but not required

  • Interest in architectural storytelling, documentation, and branding.

  • Familiarity with architectural photography, drawings, and renderings.

  • Comfortable working with digital tools (website CMS, social media platforms) – prior experience is a plus but not required.

  • Graphic design, photography, and video production skills are not required, but would be considered an asset.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Salary Range$40,000-$60,000
