The Role:

Mitchell Jensen Architects is seeking an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to assume this highly-valued role within our office, guiding projects through the construction process.  Primary duties will include:

  • Collaborate with the project architect and project manager

  • Monitor construction progress, conduct site visits, and prepare construction review reports

  • Prepare construction phase documentation including site instructions, proposed changes, change orders, and miscellaneous logs

  • Address construction contract questions and interpretations

  • Review contractor schedules, submittals, change quotes, applications for payment, etc.

  • Manage communications with clients during the construction phase

  • Manage subconsultant communication and coordination during the construction phase

The position is located in our North Bay office and will require applicants to perform their duties in-office.  Travel to project sites will also be required.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Construction Administrator and/or Project Manager

  • Proficiency in Autocad and Microsoft Suite

  • Excellent knowledge of project delivery types and construction contracts

  • Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code

  • Basic understanding of municipal regulations and approval processes

Salary Range:  $65-$85k per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
