JUXTA ARCHITECTS IS HIRING – INTERMEDIATE TECHNOLOGIST

Juxta Architects is looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual to join our growing team. We are located in downtown Ottawa, working in the residential, commercial, institutional, heritage conservation and building science sectors, and our projects are located in both Ontario and Quebec.

We are seeking a bilingual individual with 5-10 years of experience of Relevant experience to fill the role of intermediate technologist.

As an intermediate technologist, your typical duties will include: developing drawings and specifications, managing projects, and researching products and materials. You will participate in site visits, general review reporting, and meet with clients. We anticipate that the successful applicant will eventually take on a leadership role, providing mentorship and training for new staff members.

Compensation for this position starts at $65,000 annually and will be adjusted upwards based on the experience and skills of the applicant. In addition to your salary, you will also be eligible for annual bonuses, will be based on both firm profitability and individual performance.

Mandatory Technical Requirements:

• Fluently bilingual (oral and written) in French and English.

• Canadian Citizen or permanent resident that is eligible for Reliability security clearance (Public Works Canada).

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit.

• Canadian driver’s license (your own vehicle will be an asset but is not mandatory).

• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, including word and excel.

• Competency with Adobe Suite.

• Please indicate any other software skills that you can bring to our team (Rhino3d, SketchUp, NScape, parametric design, etc.).

  
  

Professional Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in architectural technology or similar accreditation.

Other Skills:

• An enthusiastic and collaborative attitude.

• Applicants should be self-motivated and open to learning new skills.

• Applicants should possess an inquisitive attitude and be able to synthesize different sources of information into the requested deliverable (drawings, reports, etc.)

• Be an excellent communicator and able to express ideas clearly.

• Able to manage time and work independently.

TECHNOLOGUE EN ARCHITECTURE, NIVEAU INTERMÉDIAIRE (ou plus avancé)

Juxta Architectes est à la recherche d'une personne motivée et dynamique pour se joindre à son équipe en pleine croissance. Nous sommes situés au centre-ville d'Ottawa et travaillons dans les secteurs résidentiel, commercial, institutionnel. Nos projets sont situés en Ontario et au Québec et comportent fréquemment un volet de conservation du patrimoine et/ou de science du bâtiment.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'une personne bilingue possédant de 5 à 10 ans d'expérience au  pertinent pour occuper le poste de technologue intermédiaire.

En tant que technologue intermédiaire, vos tâches comprendront l'élaboration de dessins et la rédaction de devis techniques incluant la recherche de produits et de matériaux, de même que la gestion de projets. Vous effectuerez des visites de chantiers et pourvoirez un support lors de rencontres avec les clients. Nous prévoyons que le candidat retenu assumera éventuellement un rôle de leadership au sein de l’équipe des technologues, en assurant le mentorat et la formation des nouveaux membres du personnel.

La rémunération pour ce poste débute à 65 000 dollars annuellement et pourra être rehaussée selon l'expérience et les compétences du candidat retenu. En plus de votre salaire, vous aurez droit à des primes annuelles basées à la fois sur la rentabilité de l'entreprise et vos performances individuelles.

Exigences obligatoires

• Bilingue (français et en anglais), oral et écrit (couramment).

• Citoyen canadien ou résident permanent admissible à une cote de sécurité de niveau fiabilité (émise par Travaux publics Canada).

• Maîtrise d'Autodesk Revit.

• Permis de conduire canadien (votre propre véhicule sera un atout mais n'est pas obligatoire).

• Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office, à commencer par Word et Excel.

• Maîtrise de la suite Adobe.

• Veuillez indiquer toute autre compétence logicielle que vous pouvez apporter à notre équipe (Rhino3d, SketchUp, NScape, conception paramétrique, etc.).
