WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITIY:
We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER to join our team. To the role, you bring seasoned experience in developing projects from concept into the built environment. You possess a superb attention to detail, are able to think critically, and can lead a team to success. This position is a full-time salaried position with the option of hybrid work (minimum 4 days in office).
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Understand project and client goals & ensure design integrity is maintained through project development
- Develop projects from schematic design through to construction documentation
- Participate in and guide conceptual development, space planning & programming, design development, materials research
- Prepare presentation packages, technical drawings, details, specifications & FF&E documents
- Communicate and coordinate with consultants and team members
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Graduated from an accredited university program in Architecture or Interior Design
- Minimum of 5+ years (Post-Graduate) experience
- Strong conceptual & critical thinking ability
- Excellent design skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally
- Very good understanding and knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, detailing, means and methods, materials and industry associated standards
- Good knowledge of materials & detailing
- Excellent time management skills of yourself and your team
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
- Excellent visual and graphic presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Registered as an Intern Architect, OAA or Interior Designer, ARIDO preferred.
- NCIDQ certification is an asset
- Proficiency in Sketch Up, Autodesk software (Revit & AutoCAD), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Revu Bluebeam an asset.
Salary Range$60 to $80K range
