Manager, Strategy + Integration - Design Services, Global

We have an exciting Manager, Strategy + Integration opportunity to provide support to the Senior Director, Strategy + Integration, Design Services, and associated Design Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing departmental initiatives, providing project support, assisting with divisional communications, and other special or ad hoc projects as delegated. This position requires a productive self-starter, capable of working with little supervision. The duties and responsibilities span a wide range of activities requiring an individual who is flexible, co-operative, and organized.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Initiatives (70%)

  • Manage cross-functional strategic initiatives (i.e., Design Standards, Sustainability, Consultant Library, etc.), from development through to successful execution.
  • Coordinate inquiries, develop action plans, and assist with preparation and dissemination of communications to clearly relay ideas.
  • Support teams with decision-making, program management, and other initiative planning or implementation activities.
  • Undertake special projects as required per direction of SVP, Design Services.

Project Support (30%)

  • Provide project support to VPs and Regional Project Leads.
  • Assist Project Leads in coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Support preparation of project area programs (Area Summary).
  • Assemble, with guidance of Project Lead, Recommended Consultant List.
  • Coordinate design review from concept through construction document phases to ensure compliance with Four Seasons Design Standards.
  • Review shop drawings and material samples and all relevant key project documentation.
  • Manage project updates and contribute to internal reports.
  • Participate and contribute to development and maintenance of various brand standard documents.
  • Travel as required based on project status.
  • Other job-related duties as requested.

What You Bring:

  • Licensed/Regulated Professional status beneficial (i.e., Licensed Architect, P. Eng., etc).
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in
  • Business or related field beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate project experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in hospitality design.
  • Luxury hospitality operator experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and design process within the luxury segment of hospitality.
  • Ability to coordinate and cross-reference design drawings from multiple disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of hotel planning principles.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to develop Executive-level presentations and working documents.
  • Advanced design software skills including CAD/other drafting software, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluent with design and construction industry terminology and practices.

  • Productive self-starter, with excellent critical thinking ability and capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively and handle several projects/deadlines.
  • Great team player, but able to work independently with some degree of ambiguity.
  • Possess creative problem-solving and technical skills including a good grasp of design and construction principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey concepts in a clear and understandable fashion. Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
  • Disciplined adherence to schedules and consistent performance on deliverables.
  • Good documentation and customer service skills.

Travel:

Travel as required, expected 10% of time.
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario.

Salary Range: Min. $85,000
