AMRA J Architects is a Hamilton-based architectural practice specializing in complex renovations, adaptive reuse, healthcare, educational, and institutional projects.

As we celebrate 10 years of growth, we're looking for an OAA-licensed architect who is ready to take on greater responsibility and help shape the next chapter of the practice.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an architect who wants more than a traditional project architect role.

Working directly with the principals, you will:

• Lead projects from planning and design through construction.

• Manage client relationships and project communications.

• Coordinate consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Guide projects through approvals, permitting, and documentation.

• Support construction administration activities.

• Mentor emerging team members.

• Participate in proposals, interviews, and business development initiatives.

As our firm continues to grow, your role will evolve alongside your capabilities, initiative, and interests. We are looking for someone who is ready to take on increasing project leadership, develop trusted client relationships, and become an important contributor to the future direction of the practice.

Qualifications

You are likely a strong fit if you:

• Are licensed with the Ontario Association of Architects.

• Have 5+ years of architectural experience.

• Can independently manage projects and consultant teams.

• Are comfortable leading client meetings and representing project teams.

• Have strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.

• Possess experience across multiple phases of project delivery.

• Communicate clearly and professionally.

• Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Experience with Revit, healthcare, educational, institutional, and renovation projects would be considered an asset.

Compensation ranges from $90,000-$105,000, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project leadership capability.
