RFP Manager/ Coordinator at LGA Architectural partners

Your Role

We’re looking for a curious and entrepreneurial RFP Manager to join our 40-person Toronto studio.  If you’re a creative writer with an appreciation for great design and are looking to make a positive impact on society, we want to hear from you.  It is a great opportunity to participate in the design industry by successfully engaging with a design studio.  This role reports both to the Director of Business Development and Communications and Partner in Charge as well as the other Partners and firm leaders. You will also work closely with our in house Graphic Designer

As an RFP Manager at LGA, you will be tasked with communicating our design ambitions and processes through words and images.  Working fluidly between research, strategy, and writing, the RFP Manager will contribute creative, high-quality proposals ( EOIs, RFQs, RFPs ), presentation and award content and, brochures. For the right person, the role offers the ability to refine the identity of the firm and room to advance.

 

What will you do:

  • Working closely with the Director of Business Development and Communications, manage the proposal submission process from the initial Go, No-Go Decision, to the interview and the de-brief.

  • Manage the pursuit team - internal partners and external sub-consultants.

  • Establish and maintain a high standard for deliverables.

  • Generate bespoke writing as required, with engaging content communicating the LGA ethos and unique differentiators.

  • Take responsibility for generating and organizing content, participate in the design layout and production, and timely delivery of proposal submissions.

  • Gather information and assets on current and past projects to develop updated project sheets, team resumes and a current repository of work.

  • Incorporate best practices for data and asset management so that the information is easily available to others.

  • Work with the team to constantly perfect the RFP process.

  • Provide ongoing feedback on project or firm assets required to create a higher impact submission.

 

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Exceptional writing and editing ability.

  • Experience in proposal writing or other written disciplines.

  • Strong design eye: experience with digital arts or graphic design

  • Knowledgeable in the use of InDesign.

  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented.

  •  Highly collaborative and adaptable team player with initiative, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in an open studio environment.

  • Able to work independently but knows when to ask for assistance.

  • Effective management skills and confident in coordinating multiple team members, including senior leaders.

  • Able to juggle several tasks simultaneously.

  • Thrives under pressure; maintaining strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Experience Level

  • Diploma or degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, architecture or similar.

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a professional practice firm or equivalent with experience in an Architecture or Planning firm considered an asset.
