The Role
We are looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our collaborative studio. This is a key leadership role responsible for providing technical direction, quality control, managing project delivery, and mentoring team members across a portfolio of projects.
Senior Technologists at Invizij are experts in their profession, playing a vital role in both project and people leadership. You’ll serve as a technical authority, a mentor to junior and intermediate staff, and a trusted liaison to clients and consultants—helping us deliver excellence from concept to construction.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the development of drawing packages for permits and construction

Oversee and manage multiple projects through all design and construction phases, focusing on quality control

Coordinate consultant teams and manage relationships with authorities having jurisdiction

Participating in client and consultant meetings, ensuring strong communication and aligned expectations

Provide technical expertise on building systems, detailing, building envelope, and constructability

Prepare contract documentation and specifications (including CCDC contracts)

Conduct quality assurance reviews throughout project phases

Lead and perform site reviews, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration

Support studio standards, BIM management, and the development of technical best practices

Ensure adherence to project budgets and schedules

Share your technical expertise and mentor junior & intermediate staff

Contribute to a positive studio culture and continuous improvement of our policies and systems
What We’re Looking For

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant architectural experience and demonstrate the ability to independently deliver projects.

Proven leadership experience managing teams of architects, technologists, and designers

Expert technical knowledge: very high level of proficiency with the latest version of Revit is essential

Skilled in leading quality control protocols

Strong experience with Ontario Building Code, CCDC contracts, technical specifications, and permitting and tendering processes

Efficient and independent

Organized and able to work on multiple projects at one time

Passion for sustainable design—Passive House experience or interest is a strong asset

Clear communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing and team leadership roles

In-depth building science knowledge is an asset

Compensation
Salary Range: $88,000 - $97,000
This reflects the base salary Invizij offers for this position. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.
