We are seeking a new colleague to join our small but growing team that is based in Cambridge, ON, but working (mostly) remotely on projects across Canada. Our ideal applicant is someone who shares our values and commitment to serving the communities we work with through design excellence. Someone who might be looking for a change of scenery in their career, and/or possibly more flexibility in their schedule by working remotely in an integrated team. Or it could be someone interested in one day relocating to beautiful Cambridge to be part of our growing architectural practice as we eventually transition to more of a hybrid mode of practice. All of these are possibilities as we seek our next colleague!

As a 100% Indigenous (Métis) -owned firm, we work on a range of projects from research-based contracts to community-based housing and cultural projects as well as working alongside partnering firms on larger projects. We prioritize listening to the clients, communities, and families who we are privileged to work with, and we follow their lead in terms of cultural expression and integration throughout our work, while doing our very best to embed their values into all aspects of their projects.

We are currently seeking an architect with a minimum of 10 years of dedicated professional experience on all phases of design delivery, who will be a leader on our team moving forward. A high-level of proficiency in working both independently and collaboratively, with Revit and Bluebeam, is a prerequisite for this position, along with significant experience working collaboratively with complex teams on large complex projects. We value people who are comfortable supporting our team on all aspects of design delivery, from schematic design through to Contract Administration. Being able to problem solve creatively while valuing design excellence is critical for this position.

The expected salary range is $100-120k/year, negotiable depending on experience. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents and have extensive practical experience and working in cold climates. Applicants with previous or current security clearance from the federal government will also be prioritized for this position.
