Construction Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO) Chair, Andrew Hurd, writes to the Hon. Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, to convey the Alliance's support for a joint industry letter regarding the implementation of the Buy Ontario Procurement Directive. The CDAO letters confirms support for government's objective to create meaningful opportunities for Ontario contractors, designers, suppliers, manufacturers, and workers. The letter also points out the need for clear and consistent criteria to establish Ontario or Canada-based status so that procurement decisions are transparent and businesses compete on a fair basis.
