The Brearley School, New York, N.Y.

Gender diversity benefits organizational success inclusive of problem-solving, ethical leadership, and financial performance. Founded in 1884, the Brearley School’s mission is to prepare girls to put their knowledge and intellect to meaningful use as future leaders in the global environment. The new purpose-built facility establishes the blueprint for the next chapter in the Brearley story with an eco-friendly design, integrated within a vertical campus. Designed to LEED Gold, the building itself acts as a teaching tool, engaging students in reducing mechanical system use by up to 800 hours/year, and putting Brearley on course to a net-zero campus by 2050.
