EnerQuality is Canada's premier certifier of energy-efficient homes and the indisputable leader in residential green building programs. Established in 1998 through a visionary collaboration between the Ontario Home Builders' Association (OHBA) and the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance (CEEA), EnerQuality has been at the forefront of transforming the landscape of High-Performance Homes.
About the Workshop:
Airtightness testing is key to energy-efficient building design and construction. However, performing airtightness testing on large and complex buildings can be challenging and costly. During this 90-minute session, you will learn about guarded airtightness testing, an advanced technique that allows you to isolate and measure the air leakage of specific sections of the building envelope and measure the air leakage for the whole building. Learn about the benefits, applications, planning, preparation, equipment, data collection, analysis, and reporting of guarded airtightness testing.
Course Content:
• What is guarded airtightness testing and how does it work?
• What are the advantages of guarded airtightness testing over whole-building airtightness testing?
• How to plan, prepare, and perform guarded airtightness testing on multifamily buildings
• How to collect, analyze, and report the data from guarded airtightness testing
• How to use the results of guarded airtightness testing to improve the building envelope performance and energy efficiency.
Learning Objectives:
•To gain a deeper understanding of the principles and practices of guarded airtightness testing
• To learn how to apply guarded airtightness testing to multifamily building projects.
• To discover the benefits of guarded airtightness testing for building performance, energy efficiency, and durability.
• To get tips and tricks from subject matter experts and practitioners in the field of guarded airtightness testing.
• To learn the calculation of how much equipment is required to test the high rise.
• To network with other professionals and stakeholders in the building sector.
Cost: Free to Attend
