Acoustic Trends in Commercial Buildings and the Benefits of Stone Wool Ceiling Panels

Please join us on Tues., Nov. 24, 9:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m., at the DaVinci Centre for an educational presentation by ROCKFON’s Dr. Gary Madaras on acoustic trends in commercial buildings and the benefits of stone wool ceiling panels.

There is no cost for you to attend this educational half-day presentation. We simply request that you respond by Fri., Nov. 13, to reserve your seat. Walk-ins will be permitted only if space is available.

About the Program

Attendees will learn:

  • How to identify and quantify high-performance sound-absorbing surfaces
  • How to achieve the appropriate acoustic experience with ceilings, baffles and islands
  • How trends in acoustic standards and guidelines have changed, and why what worked on previous projects may work no longer

“There is now an increased need for high-performance sound-absorbing room surfaces to meet shorter reverberation time criteria,” says Dr. Madaras. “At the same time, other trends in space planning, sustainable design and communication technology are making the successful incorporation of high-performance sound-absorbing surfaces more challenging.”

To address these challenges, ROCKFON offers a comprehensive range of stone wool acoustic ceiling panels, specialty metal ceiling panels and ceiling suspension systems. Along with acoustic performance, stone wool ceiling panels do not absorb water, resist humidity and do not promote mold or mildew. They also provide high fire performance and contribute to sustainable design benefits.

Sharing the benefits of these products and its expertise in commercial ceiling systems, ROCKFON is an Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) registered Continuing Education program provider.
