Join CTBUH Canada for a construction tour of a landmark project developed by Pinnacle International/Mondiale Development Ltd.
The tour will be hosted by Hariri Pontarini Architects, Jablonsky Ast and Partners and Pinnacle International. We invite participants to join guided, small-group tours, each focusing on specific aspects of the project, followed by a networking event where they can engage in informal discussions with the project team.
The focus of the tour will be on envelope design, structural design and construction process and programming considerations for wind. Following the tour there is a hosted networking session, venue TBD.
About the Project:
Located on Toronto’s waterfront where Lake Ontario meets North America’s longest street, the 105-storey SkyTower is set to become the tallest residential building in Canada.
The Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed building will contain over 950 residential suites ranging from 520 to 2,300 square feet and luxury amenities such as a pool, yoga studio, fitness centre, and entertainment space. The building’s podium will include extensive retail, a pedestrian mid-block connection, rooftop amenities and a 220-room hotel. Residential suites are situated in the tower above. To make an architectural statement and mitigate wind-induced loads, SkyTower features a glazed exterior and a tapered form and chamfered corners. The project marks the latest phase of the Pinnacle One Yonge mixed-use development.
