A tour so nice they had to do it twice! We’re so excited and thankful to have another opportunity to explore the now-complete Limberlost Place again.
The newest addition to George Brown College’s Waterfront Campus, Limberlost Place is Canada’s first post-secondary mass timber tower, combining sustainable design with architectural ambition. This 10-storey hub is a model for net-zero carbon design meeting the highest level of Toronto Green Standard, with every design move—from the mass timber structure to its high-performance envelope system—reflecting a deep commitment to sustainability.
During our tour, we’ll have the chance to explore multiple spaces throughout the building, including the heart of the building—a dramatic multi-level space known as the Learning Landscape, the CLT feature stairs, the level ten event space, and the double height Breathing Rooms, to discuss the natural ventilation system and solar chimneys. We’ll also venture over the bridge and take in one of the many adaptable classrooms on site as well.
This tour will be led by the teams at Moriyama Teshima Architects and George Brown College.
