Architecture students to study cultural investments in Kitchener core

The city should buy the empty lots on Margaret Avenue for an urban park as thousands of new residents will soon be living in the city centre, says Rick Haldenby, professor at the University of Waterloo school of architecture.

City councillors allowed a developer to tear down the historic mansions in 1988 on a promise to build something better. New owners with new plans came along periodically but nothing was ever built.
