The Building Materials Evaluation Commission (BMEC) is seeking new part-time Members with technical expertise in Ontario's Building Code. This is an opportunity to shape how innovation enters the built environment—and architects are especially encouraged to participate.

The BMEC evaluates applications for innovative materials, systems, or building designs used in the construction of a building. These are materials, systems, or designs not currently mentioned in the Building Code, or proposed as equivalent to its requirements. Where appropriate, the BMEC may authorize their use subject to terms and conditions.

Submit your application through the Public Appointments Secretariat  website. The deadline to apply is August 3.
