The City of Cambridge is using artificial intelligence (AI) to help more efficiently connect developers and builders to the city.
As of Sept. 1, development proposals can be put through AI-powered Archistar, to see whether or not the plans are in line with city requirements before the application process begins.
The city said the AI screening will help to create more “complete” applications and lead to faster approval times.
Also now available for builders and architects, Cambridge Digital Twin.
The interactive tool provides a detailed three-dimensional virtual representation of the city that developers can use to see how their plans would fit into an existing neighbourhood.
