Submissions for the Canada Council for the Arts’ Prix de Rome in Architecture – Professional, Prix de Rome in Architecture – Emerging Practitioners, and J.B.C. Watkins Award: Architecture are being accepted until October 7, 2026.

The Canada Council for the Arts grants annual prizes in architecture to acknowledge the accomplishments of architects, professionals, and students at different phases of their careers.

The Prix de Rome in Architecture – Professional is awarded annually to either a practitioner of architecture or an architectural firm who/that has completed their/its first built works and has demonstrated exceptional artistic potential. The prize encourages the development of contemporary architectural practice by supporting the recipients’ travel around the world to develop their skills and their creative practice, and to strengthen their position in the international architecture world.
