Digitizing of CCDC and CCA Documents Underway: SignaSur Platform and Other Document Updates

A phaseout of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) and Canadian Construction Association (CCA) hard-copy documents (contracts and guides) is planned by the end of 2026. The expectation is that CCDC documents will no longer be available in their current format of contracts and physical copyright seals, and all new CCDC contracts will be accessed through the SignaSur platform.

New Contracts and Guides Now Available

The following new documents have been released on SignaSur. They will also, at least initially, be available through traditional CCDC document outlets, with registration numbers and physical seals. Traditional copies will be made available as a secondary option starting June 15, 2026. The documents are:

  • New CCDC 32, Progressive Design-Build Contract;
  • New CCDC 33, Progressive Design-Build Service Contract Between Design-Builder and Consultant;
  • New Guide to CCDC 32, Progressive Design-Build Contract;
  • Updated CCDC 14, Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract; and
  • Updated CCDC 15, Service Contract Between Design-Builder and Consultant.

Previous Versions now Being Withdrawn

Effective June 30, 2026, seals and certain documents will no longer be sold. Exchange for the new versions can be made until September 28, 2026:

  • CCDC 5A-2010, Construction Management Contract – for Services;
  • CCDC 5B-2010, Construction Management Contract for Services and Construction;
