OAA Council voted to proceed with the Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC) on February 28 and March 1 in five locations established for Ontario.

This decision is dependent on the Province continuing to ease capacity restrictions and relax public health guidelines. If circumstances beyond the OAA’s control require the exams be postponed, they will be rescheduled to late May dates. Assuming schedules are not affected, the next exam sitting will be November 7 and 8.

As per the posting on the ExAC website, interns registered for the February 28 and March 1 sitting who do not feel comfortable attending an in-person examination may cancel by February 11 and receive a full refund. Interns in their cycle of three consecutive attempts to pass all sections will not have such a cancellation count against them as a failed attempt.
