Judge's Reasons and Decision in AATO vs. OAA Matter

Earlier this year, an article on the OAA Website detailed a draft Notice of Motion (NOM) that came from the legal counsel of the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO) and alleged the OAA was in contempt of the May 10, 2023 Court Order.

The judge in this matter has now released his Reasons for Decision and has found the OAA to be in contempt of the original court order. Any sentencing or penalties have not been addressed by the Court at this point.

The OAA Council and legal counsel will need time to review and digest the decision before deciding whether to appeal.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to directly contact OAA Executive Director Kristi Doyle.
