The Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) released new electronic versions of the key CCDC 5A, 5B, and 17 for construction management contracts as well as the CCDC 30 Integrated Project Delivery Contract. For more information, visit the following links:
The new documents (CCDC 5A, 5B, 17, and 30) have been available since the end of June 2025. For a one-year transition period (i.e. until the end of June 2026), CCDC will continue to sell and provide the previous versions of the forms through their Document Outlets (such as the OAA Store).
What Changed?
CCDC continues to implement the concept of “Ready-for-Takeover” throughout their suite of contracts and guides, as first seen in CCDC 2-2020 Stipulated Price Contract.
Members and clients will also notice the introduction of early occupancy, some editable schedules in CCDC 5A and 5B, clarification of some of the definitions and other noteworthy updates for those familiar with the previous versions.
