The Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) will be hosting its first public review of proposed changes to the 2020 editions of the National Model Codes, including the National Building Code of Canada, the National Fire Code of Canada, the National Plumbing Code of Canada, and the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings.

This public review, which runs from October 24 to December 23, will provide an opportunity to comment on whether the proposed changes should be approved, modified, or withdrawn. The final changes will then be included in the 2025 National Model Codes, published by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).
