The OAA has been made aware of a recent email some members have been receiving, purporting to be from a company willing to sell contact information for either OAA members or registrants from the recent Conference. While the OAA does maintain a publicly accessible practice list on the OAA Website and also has a voluntary Mentor Directory on its private member-only side, it does not provide, sell, or share members’ individual contact information with anyone.
The Association is continually finding ways to enhance security measures on its website. Along with the Stackpath web app firewall (with next-gen WAF, bot protection, API protection and discovery, and DDoS mitigation), the OAA has recently implemented invisible captcha on directory pages, and removed options for “blank” searches on the OAA Directory.
