Donald Alan Voisey, Life Member
September 24, 1942 - October 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Alan Voisey at the age of 81 at Headwaters Health Care Centre. The nursing staff are true angels of care and helped Don and his family find a sense of peace in his final days.
Loving husband to Sandra (Aldred) for 57 years; much-loved father to Brent (Melanie); grandfather to Gillian and Brooke; step-grandfather to Charlie and his buddy, Jack. He will be missed by his brother, Tom (Lorna); and sister, Leanne (Murray); his nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Don graduated from the School of Architecture, University of Toronto in 1965 and went on to have a successful career in helping to design, plan and consult on the structures he so loved (Eaton Centre, Ontario Place, Maple Leaf Gardens and many more).
He belonged to 4 Rotary clubs since the 1980s (in Ontario and Bermuda), serving as President twice, and was an instrumental part in various community projects. Don was a big supporter of the Orangeville community after moving there in 1996. Proud of his family, thankful for his amazing group of friends, he didn't lose his positive attitude throughout his 10-month battle with cancer. Don lived a happy life full of generosity and volunteerism.
